Ever the same all sufficient Savior
2 Corinthians 3:5 ~ Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
The word sufficient means to be adequate or equal to the task or need. In Jesus Christ, God has provided a sufficient sacrifice and Savior. Not only is Christ a sufficient Savior, but He is also "able to save to the uttermost" (Heb. 7:5) and to keep, "that which is committed unto Him" (2 Ti 1:12). Christ meets every physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our life.
We have many incidents of God’s sufficiency in Christ recorded in the Gospels. Every miracle in the Gospels not only met an immediate need of the person but also speaks to us of God’s ability to aid and help us in our lives. As He was then, so is He now. Jesus has the same love and compassion today as He did for the suffering in His day. I love the words of our Savior in Luke 4:18, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."
Christian, He’s ever the same all sufficient Savior. Try Him, won’t you.
Hebrews 13:8 ~ Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Hi Sarah,
In Chicago airport waiting for connection to SFO.
Just wanted to say thanks for this post. It was very appropriate and uplifted me. Some cranky pre-show things happening! 0_o
In Christ,

Hi Sarah! It is such a comforting thing to know that God is sufficient for all our needs, it truly helps me in times of stress and worry.

Bryan, Amen and Amen.
Corry, well said. :)
Joe, thanks!!
Leonard, lol. Let us know that you've arrived safely in SFO. And don't let worry get to you. After hearing your testimony today, I'd say you have the Lord's blessing.
Shieryl, same here. I think I was going through a short "worry" period, which is bad. But then I read 2 Cor. 3:5 and remembered that my sufficiency is of God. What a blessing.

There is such comfort in the fact that He never changes and is always the same. He is truly all sufficient!

Some time ago, I stopped long at the following verse.
II Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
It seemed like for the first time I had read "God IS ABLE" "to make ALL grace ABOUND toward you".
It was very refreshing to read. I have gone back to this verse many times in the past two weeks.
How the Bible comes alive again and again is just unbelievable.

Amy, thank you so much for stopping by again!
Mom, thank you for sharing that verse also. It ties in so perfectly with chapter 3, v.5. That Bible is incredible!
