Some things never change
Often times at the church, when the congregation is singing hyms with all their might, you will notice a person or two lifting up their hands. Well usually just one hand, they hold the hymn book with the other. I find it nice. Sometimes during prayer you feel like lifting your hands up high to the sky.
Then I came acrross this verse from David. It's a very short Psalm:
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. ~Psalm 134:2
How nice! You see, some things never change. Next time that happens, maybe I too will lift up my hand, and think upon this verse.

In many Churches, you can spot who is from a more Charismatic or Pentecostal background by whether they raise their hands.
Not in your case, however.

Lol, actually, you're right. If you did something like that in my church, watch out, Pastor Larry will simply not allow that kind of behavior.
