A time to rest
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Ecc 3:1Everybody calls this time of the year “holiday season”, but those who know me well know that I’m not big on christmas, neither is my family nor my church. To me, this is more like “resting season”.
I am off on Monday and Tuesday. I then work on Wednesday and Thursday, which will be very quiet days at the office, and get to have time off on the Friday, Monday and Tuesday after that! That’s some excellent resting time for me for which I am very grateful to the Lord. My plans consist mainly of reading my Bible and spending quality time with my brother and mother. I will also hang out as much as possible with good friends from the church.
I do pray and trust that the Lord will give all my readers and friends a good resting season as well!

Have a good rest, Sarah.
And be sure to return all the earlier after Christmas!

Hi Matthew, I trust you had a good time with your family.
Don't worry, I will be around for blogging, in fact, probably more so now over the break since I finally have some time OFF! :)

I spent the day at home, also. But I am now getting ready to go the Welcome Hall. This is the shelter place for the homeless of Montreal. Our men are going to do the preaching, and I'm just going to help with the singing, and of course, the tract passing. Plz keep us in prayers!

You are so willing to offer yourself in the Lord's service.

Actually, I wasn't in the mood of going at ALL. The Welcome Hall is my least "favorite" ministry. But I knew I would regret it had I stayed behind.

Sacrifice. That's what it is all about, as the Pastor preached last night. Doing what is right even when we don't feel like it is a "sacrifice" of sweet savour unto the Father.

Amen, that was a very timely message last night. I hope our Heavenly Father is pleased.
