My New Bible....At Last
I did, however, want to end it on a good note. We normally have Awana on Firday nights, but today was a night off due to Spring break. After work, I went to a Christian bookstore about 10 minutes away from my building. It's really not the greatest bible bookstore, but good enough to find King James Bibles, and it's nearby, which is pretty neat.
At last, I'm an owner of a Scofield Study Bible (KJV of course). I wasn't certain if I wanted a Scofield Study Bible at first (I know he's not always 100% right on, but then again, who is), but last summer, while flipping through my brother's Bible I got convinced that, indeed, that's what I wanted.
I am super happy! I also got a new Bible cover. Originally, I was supposed to go clothe shopping, but after my Bible purchase, I was so excited to just come home and personlize it. I was also supposed to meet up with friends from work for coffee, but one of the girls is a Jehovah' s witness, and that's another story for another post. All I wanted was to get my Bible and come home.
Firdays are usually very long days, though loads of fun, thanks to Awana...and also cuz it's the weekend!!!! But it's so nice to just come home and "chillax".

Oh that would be exciting! I have Bible for a really long time - usually until they literally fall apart. In fact, I think I've only had a total of three Bibles in my Christian walk.
We didn't have Awana this week, either. I missed my kids.

This is not a doctrinal statement, but working with kids makes of you a mature person. And you both are.

Thanks, Leila!
Sarah, I just say that because I am an Enlgish major and laugh at myself when I make grammatical errors. My older brother David likes to tease me and say, "Now what are you majoring in, Carey?"

Actually, when I was younger and an addict to the simpsons, my favorite expression was "me fail english, that's umpossible", I forgot the kid's name, but he wasn't too bright.
Hahahahaha. lol

Oh good. I lik emaking people laugh. Perhaps that is why my mom can't be mad at me for very long. I purposely say something I know will make her laugh and we're the best of friends within five minutes of arguing.

Sounds like my mom and I!
I say we send our moms off to a nice spa day while you and I go off to a zoo and stare at monkeys.
Monkeys make me laugh. You can't possibly be having a bad day, look at a monkey and still not laugh!

Redeemed,
did you check to see if it was the Old Scofield Bible (1909 or 1917) and not the new (1967)?

Yep, it is 1909. It's the Firt Scofield Study Bible. I even asked the guy that works there just be certain!
Thanks for looking out for me.

Yours is a bit nicer, the printing is much better. But I'm still very happy with it.
I wish I were home right now reading it...
