One alarm clock is enough
People, hear me out, bad idea! I almost had a heart attack at 6 when they both went off this morning. My alarm clock is set to the radio and my cell to "when the saints go marching in". I didn't know which one I wanted to pitch across the room first!!!
In any case, on the bright side, I was up on time. So I guess I still accomplished that which I set to do. Yippi.

How come I didn't hear a thing?

Don't ask. It happened yesterday morning too.
You've been sleeping in late there lately, little missy.

Actually, yesterday morning wasn't as loud, my phone was on "low". This morning it was high. Much too loud.

Sarah you address your mother as 'little missy'? I do not think I or my sister could get away with that.
I suggest you set your alarm clock to put the radio on really early so you can lie in bed listening to the radio, then set your cell to come on when you need to get up.

Your online at the moment, Sarah?

I'm online, for a little while.
Hehe, my mom and I are very close. We joke a lot too. She's actually very funny.
Yeh, that's a good idea. I hate waking up and having to rush super fast, like I did this morning.

Thanks for your concern Matthew. In order to set the record straight, I don't think I heard this "little missy" thing before. But when you know Sarah well you'd understand she is never offensive in her language. If she ever is she'd hear from me BIG TIME.

Awwwee, you're so sweet. I love you, mom!

I am sure that Sarah would not be offensive in her language.
However, I think my mother would consider such a term of address as a gross violation of her status, if my sister or I used it to her, offensive or not.

I meant it in a cute way. Guess I'm not cute after all.

I call my mama things like that. We are really close too and have lots of pet names for each other. One of her pet names is "Buttercup" (a character from a children's book I'm writing that I based on my mom).
Sarah, I do that too with my alarm clocks. My regular alarm clock sounds like a fire alarm. I used to have it right by my bed, but I'd no sooner turn it off than doze before I could get out of bed. My solution? Put the alarm clock on the other side of the room so I had to get out of bed. Now when it goes off, I leap (literally) out of bed to turn that blasted thing off. I've also got a travel alarm clock that I hide somewhere in my room so I have to go looking for it. It's a way to torment myself, but that is the only way I can fully wake up.

You're too hard on yourself, Carey, I always make typos too!
That's really neat that you are writing a children's book. I can read to my kids some day!!!
Actually, your idea with your alarm clock is a really good one. I saw something really interesting on the news a while ago. A college student in the US designed some sort of a round alarm clock that once it goes off, legs come out from the bottom, it runs and hides somewhere in your room.
Lol, it forces you to get up, find it, and shut it off. How neat is that????
We should all get one!

I did hear about that alarm clock, but I don't like the thought of hunting down a walking alarm clock in the morning. That could get ugly. I might end up taking a gun and shooting the blasted thing (no pun intended).
